Job description

We're building a new system of record for finance, one that understands not just the numbers, but the business context behind them. At its core is our Operational Ledger: a financial data layer that preserves every event, calculation, policy, source, and decision behind the financials, rather than reducing them to contextless entries. Questions that once took weeks to answer become as routine as a Google search: Why did margins change? Which customers are actually profitable? How are we tracking against budget? We're not bolting AI onto legacy software. Quanta was built from the ground up around granular financial data, flexible primitives, and systems that agents can safely understand and act on. We've spent years closing the books for real, fast-growing companies and turning what we learn into product. We've already replaced much of what QuickBooks and NetSuite can do and the manual work surrounding them. Customers are now turning off legacy accounting systems and moving to Quanta. We're still early. The problems are hard, the ambition is enormous, and there's no playbook for what we're building. We're looking for an Outbound SDR to help build Quanta's outbound sales motion from the ground up. This isn't a role where you'll inherit a mature sequence library, work through a static account list, and optimize for meetings booked. You'll spend most of your time doing the fundamentals exceptionally well; researching accounts, calling prospects, writing thoughtful outbound, qualifying buyers, and creating pipeline. You'll also have the opportunity to experiment constantly and turn what works into the playbook for the people who come after you. For someone who wants to become a great seller and eventually an AE, you'll get unusually close exposure to our customers, product, founders, and the process of building an early-stage sales organization. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Build qualified pipeline. Prospect through cold calls, personalized email, LinkedIn, warm introductions, events, and whatever creative channels prove effective. - Become excellent at identifying the right companies. Research target accounts, understand how their businesses work, map finance stakeholders, and identify the right entry points. - Find signals others miss. Use funding, finance leadership changes, hiring, business-model complexity, existing accounting infrastructure, and other signals to prioritize where Quanta can create the most value. - Experiment relentlessly. Test messages, signals, offers, channels, and tactics. Understand why something works, not just whether it works. - Use AI as leverage. Find creative ways to improve research, account prioritization, personalization, preparation, and your overall effectiveness. - Bring the market back to Quanta. You'll be one of the people talking to prospective customers every day. Turn what you learn into useful feedback for sales, product, and the rest of the company. - Help build the machine. When something works, help turn it into a repeatable system that can scale to the next SDRs we hire. YOU MAY BE A FIT IF - You are hungry to become exceptional at sales and want a path toward becoming an AE. - You're comfortable picking up the phone and creating opportunities rather than waiting for them. - You're resourceful. When the obvious approach doesn't work, your instinct is to find another one. - You're resilient enough to operate in outbound sales and analytical enough to continuously improve at it. - You want responsibility earlier in your career rather than waiting for someone to hand it to you. - You're excited by the idea of joining a small company where the playbook is still being written. We also welcome exceptional candidates from unconventional backgrounds. We care much more about initiative, judgment, curiosity, and learning speed than checking every box. THIS ROLE PROBABLY ISN'T FOR YOU IF - You want a finished playbook to execute rather than helping build one. - You want to optimize for activity or meetings booked regardless of whether those meetings turn into real opportunities. - You dislike cold calling or expect technology to replace the fundamentals of outbound sales. - You want a highly specialized role with narrow ownership. - Or you want to join a company where most of the important questions have already been answered. WHY QUANTA Build a category, not just features. We're not selling a slightly better version of an established tool. We're changing what companies should expect from their financial systems. Join early enough to matter. We're a small team. The things you discover, build, and prove can become part of how Quanta sells for years. Learn directly from exceptional people. You'll work alongside founders, engineers, and finance leaders who have built financial infrastructure and operated finance functions firsthand. Grow with the company. We're looking for someone who wants to take on increasing ownership, and help us build the sales organization that comes next. BENEFITS - Competitive early-stage salary - Competitive early-stage equity - Health, dental, and vision insurance - 401(k) - Take-what-you-need paid vacation - Commuter benefits - Wellness stipend - Paid lunches and dinners in the office - All the equipment and tools you need to do your best work
