Who You Are: As Senior Counsel, you will join an experienced and collaborative Legal team to work on market and derivative related transaction matters. You ll work alongside and report into our Head of Trading Legal and have the opportunity to work on a myriad of legal issues with room for growth beyond the current scope of the role. The ideal hire should have minimum of 4 years experience at a financial institution with additional experience at a top-tier law firm. What You ll Do: Act as a strategic legal advisor for Galaxy with respect to ISDAs/ CSAs, confirms, prime brokerage agreements, lending and vendor transactions;Advisor on swap dealer related rulesFocus on negotiating documentation with hedge funds, crypto native firms, investment companies, individuals, miners and other institutional clientsCoordinate resources with respect to negotiations, including management of outside counsel engagement where appropriate;Collaborate with other functional partners and businesses to ensure appropriate awareness and escalation of issues;Assisting with implementing global regulatory and market changes affecting trading and documentationDraft and negotiate non-disclosure agreements;Manage workflow in a highly dynamic and demanding environment while remaining highly responsive, reliable, communicative, and accountable to team leadership and other members of Galaxy;andHelp with other special projects and such other activities as may be assigned.Embrace and champion the thoughtful adoption of AI to improve team performance and business outcomes.Leverage AI tools (e.G., generative AI, automation platforms, data copilots) to improve productivity, decision-making, and output quality in your day-to-day work.
