Job description

Ready to lead retention strategies for top eCommerce brands? We’re seeking a confident Email & SMS Account Manager with at least one year of hands-on experience managing Klaviyo or similar ESPs, who can juggle 8–10 clients and lead creatives with minimal oversight. You’ll translate complex eCommerce data into actionable insights and craft unique, on-brand campaigns that boost LTV and reduce CAC. This role is fully remote but requires availability during EST business hours. Apply now to join our bold, fast-growing team where your strategic thinking and creative firepower will make a real impact. ABOUT BAD MARKETING We’re BAD Marketing — a global team of 170+ passionate marketers, strategists, and creatives working together to help our clients grow profitably and sustainably. We’re one of the largest and most performance-driven growth marketing agencies in the world. Our specialties span eCommerce, local lead generation, and info marketing, serving brands from local service providers to fast-scaling DTC product companies and course creators. What sets us apart isn’t just our Bold And Disruptive strategies — it’s our investment in people. We develop leaders, foster collaboration, and prioritize fulfillment in the workplace. Because when our team thrives, so do our clients. ABOUT THE ROLE: Email & SMS Account Manager – eCommerce Focus We are looking for a seasoned, strategic, and confident Email & SMS Account Manager who can lead with vision, manage complex client portfolios, and bring creative firepower to every campaign. This is not a junior or execution-only role. While you’ll be backed by a design team, you’ll still be hands-on with campaign strategies, audits, and performance reviews. We value Account Managers who think strategically and act decisively. You must be comfortable juggling multiple clients without sacrificing quality, missing deadlines, or compromising brand integrity. YOUR CORE RESPONSIBILITIES • Lead client communication with clarity, confidence, and strategic insight — you are the face of our retention strategy for each account. • Develop creative, non-basic campaign concepts that align with each brand's voice, goals, and customer journey — ideation is as critical as execution. • Guide your team of designers and collaborate with copywriters to produce error-free, on-brand, conversion-driven content. • Own retention performance — build and manage advanced email and SMS flows, campaign calendars, and data-backed optimizations. • Conduct ongoing account audits to identify segmentation, automation, and A/B testing opportunities. • Translate metrics (CTR, CVR, RPR, LTV) into actionable, digestible client insights that drive decision-making. • Proactively manage timelines, resources, and internal collaboration — you never drop a deadline. • Ensure consistent QA and brand alignment across all creative assets — from email layout to SMS tone. • Stay ahead of industry trends and continually bring fresh, innovative campaign ideas to your team and clients. THIS ROLE IS PERFECT FOR: • Experienced email & SMS marketers who want to own retention strategy without being buried in busywork • Strategic doers who can manage multiple eCommerce accounts with confidence and clarity • Creatives who love building customer journeys that drive revenue and deepen brand loyalty • Communicators who thrive in client-facing roles and know how to translate data into insight QUALIFICATIONS (Required — No Exceptions) • 1+ years of comprehensive eCommerce retention marketing experience (not limited to freelance or assistant roles). • Proven ability to manage 8–10 client accounts simultaneously and guide a small creative team with minimal oversight, while maintaining high-quality output. • Prior experience with Klaviyo or similar ESPs at an advanced level. • Strong portfolio of full-funnel email and SMS campaigns — from ideation to performance analysis. • Strategic thinker with a bias for creativity and performance — you're not here to do the obvious. • Confident, proactive communicator who can simplify complex data and strategies into clear client communication. • Obsessive attention to detail — no typos, broken links, or off-brand creative on your watch. • Able to prioritize and pivot in a fast-paced agency environment with zero micromanagement. • Strong understanding of eCommerce metrics: CAC, LTV, CVR, RPR, and how they influence retention decisions. • U.S. or Colombia-based and located within ±3 hours of EST. Must be available Monday–Friday, 9AM–6PM EST. NICE TO HAVES • Experience with Postscript, Attentive, or other SMS platforms • Familiarity with Notion, Slack, and project management platforms BENEFITS • Competitive compensation • Health, dental, and vision insurance (U.S. residents only) • PTO + Paid U.S. holidays • Fully remote • Career growth pathways in a high-performance culture • Work with a creative, high-accountability team that takes pride in their craft OUR CORE VALUES • BE BAD • PLAY TO WIN • EXTREME OWNERSHIP • SOLUTIONS, NOT PROBLEMS • BEST IDEA WINS • ALWAYS BE GROWING • NOBODY IS BIGGER THAN THE TEAM Sound like you?
