Job description
Aegis is partnered with an established systems integration and engineering organization specializing in automation solutions for municipal water and wastewater facilities throughout Illinois. They are looking to add experienced Automation Engineers to their growing controls team.
Responsibilities:
• Design and troubleshoot automation and controls systems
• Program and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley/Logix PLCs
• Develop and support HMI/SCADA systems
• Assist with controls and instrumentation design
• Support installation, commissioning, and system startup
• Troubleshoot pumps, instrumentation, and controls at customer facilities
• Split time between engineering/project work and local customer sites
Requirements:
• 5+ years of Controls/Automation Engineering experience preferred
• Direct water/wastewater experience required
• Strong Allen-Bradley PLC programming and troubleshooting experience
• SCADA/HMI experience
• Comfortable working independently at customer sites
• FactoryTalk, PanelView, industrial networking, or PE license is a plus
The role can be based out of Peoria or Naperville and offers a $100K–$120K base salary with potential flexibility for strong candidates. Additional paid overtime is also available.
