Job description

Join the Future of Robotic Biomanufacturing! Multiply Labs is a robotics company on a mission to solve a significant bottleneck in modern medicine: the manufacturing of life-saving advanced biologics, from gene and cell therapies to antibodies and more. Today, these therapies are produced through manual, labor-intensive processes. Costs are extremely high—often $500K–$2M per patient—limiting access to only a small fraction of those who need them. As product complexity increases and the cost of failure and scientific labor rises, the industry is shifting toward automation. Robotics and AI are making automated biologics manufacturing feasible, reliable, and economically scalable. We believe the future of biomanufacturing is robotic—closed, automated, and scalable—ensuring critical therapeutics are accessible to every patient who needs them. Why This Matters We don’t just build robots—we’re building the essential infrastructure for next generation biologics. Our technology enables biopharma companies to scale production without redesigning their science, reducing regulatory hurdles and lowering costs so these treatments can reach more patients. The Stack & The Scale The Mission: Build the world’s best robots to make life-saving therapies accessible to all. The Technology: Advanced robotic orchestration, high-precision automation, cloud-integrated hardware-software systems, dextrous manipulation, and imitation learning. The Location: Headquartered in San Francisco, CA. The Backing: Supported by premier investors, including Casdin Capital, Lux Capital, and Y Combinator. As Head of Product, you will own the end-to-end product lifecycle, working closely with engineering, biosciences, and commercial teams to translate complex customer needs into scalable, high-impact systems. This is a critical leadership position where you will build and mentor our product and biosciences teams, steer strategic roadmaps with global pharmaceutical partners, and help make transformative, life-saving therapies more accessible to patients. Responsibilities Define, communicate, and execute the long-term product strategy and roadmap for our automated advanced biologics manufacturing systems, aligning platform development with key commercial milestones. Partner closely with the CEO, hardware, software, bioprocess, and quality leadership to drive a cohesive product vision, architecture, and product requirements. Hire, mentor, and scale high-performing product and biosciences teams. Oversee the Biosciences team in defining biological product requirements, executing internal cell testing, and partnering directly with pharma customers to analyze pilot data and demonstrate process comparability. Make decisive prioritization tradeoffs balancing custom customer requirements, core platform standardization, and ongoing engineering improvements. Serve as the primary product partner to executive leadership and cross-functional teams at major pharmaceutical client accounts, translating customer goals and needs into actionable product requirements. Collaborate with Business Development, Strategic Alliance Management, Supply Chain, and Engineering to ensure product readiness for customer deployments and platform launches.
