Job description

About AegisAI We’re a team of ex-Google engineers who built some of the largest defensive platforms on the planet — Safe Browsing (protecting 5B+ devices) and reCAPTCHA (protecting millions of websites). Now we’re taking on an even bigger challenge: stopping the new wave of AI-powered email attacks hitting organizations today. Email security is a $5B+ market ripe for disruption. Legacy rule-based and ML systems can’t keep up with adversaries using AI to craft highly customized, evasive attacks. AegisAI is building an LLM-native email security platform designed for this new threat landscape - adaptive, fast, and fundamentally different. THE ROLE We’re looking for an aggressive, high-ownership Account Executive to help bring AegisAI to market. You’ll be on the front lines - educating CISOs and security leaders, running full-cycle deals, and shaping how this category is sold. In this role, you'll have responsibility for a multi-state territory throughout the Southwest region of the US. We have breakthrough technology and a world-class engineering team. Your mission is to turn that into revenue, pipeline, and market momentum. You’ll work closely with founders, product, and marketing to connect top-of-funnel demand with enterprise, partner, and PLG-assisted sales motions. This is not a “run the playbook” role - you’ll help write it. WHAT YOU’LL DO - Own the full sales cycle from first conversation to close for mid-market and enterprise customers - Generate and close net-new pipeline, not just work inbound - Sell to security leaders (CISO, Head of Security, IT leadership) with a consultative, technical approach - Clearly articulate why AI-native email security beats legacy rule-based and ML systems - Partner with founders and product to influence roadmap, pricing, and positioning - Collaborate with marketing on messaging, campaigns, and feedback loops from the field - Help define early sales processes, discovery frameworks, and qualification standards WHY THIS IS HARD (AND WHY IT’S FUN) - The threat landscape changes daily — what worked yesterday is obsolete tomorrow - Buyers are sophisticated and skeptical; you’ll need to sell new detection paradigms, not checkboxes - Feedback loops are fast, direct, and unfiltered - You’ll be selling a product that’s actively fighting AI vs. AI in real time WHY WE’LL WIN - The market is massive and incumbents are too slow to adapt - Our team has built internet-scale security systems before - This is our third category-defining security product - AI and security are built into the core — not bolted on - We hire top performers and move fast: no politics, no hierarchy, no fluff WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR - 5+ years of enterprise or mid-market SaaS sales experience - Proven track record of closing six-figure+ deals and driving millions in pipeline - Comfortable selling technical, security-focused products - Self-starter who can prospect, run deals, and close without heavy enablement - Bias toward action — you think in days and weeks, not quarters - Strong discovery skills and the ability to translate technical value into business impact BONUS POINTS - Experience selling security, email security, or detection systems - Exposure to PLG-assisted sales motions - Experience working at an early-stage or Series A startup - Comfort selling alongside highly technical founders OUR CULTURE - Flat, fast, and founders have sales DNA - Clear KPIs, full ownership - Development cycles measured in days - You’ll have real influence - on deals, strategy, and the company itself If you want to build and sell AI that fights AI, work directly with builders who’ve done it at global scale, and help define the future of email security — come talk to us.
