About the Company
We are a global leader in commercial equipment manufacturing, with a portfolio of well-known brands serving customers in more than 100 countries. Our machines are increasingly connected, and our digital product ecosystem — cloud applications, edge gateway devices, and customer-facing platforms — is where the next decade of growth lives. We are an established, profitable business investing seriously in modern software.
About the Role
You will lead a cross-functional engineering team delivering software across our digital product ecosystem, including applications that integrate with and run on edge gateway devices. This is a leadership role first: you will own sprint planning, delivery predictability, and engineering standards, partnering closely with product, architecture, and firmware teams. You will also set the bar for how the team uses AI-assisted development tools, coaching engineers on effective workflows and evaluating AI-generated code during review.
What You Will Own
• Sprint planning, delivery execution, and predictable outcomes alongside Product and Architecture
• Engineering best practices across coding standards, scalability, performance, and maintainability
• Quality strategy end to end — testing standards, coverage expectations, and CI/CD quality gates
• Delivery of applications running on edge/IoT gateway devices, interfacing with firmware over TCP sockets and local WiFi
• Modernization of .NET, React.js, and legacy workloads
• Team growth, technical interviewing, and a culture of ownership and accountability
What You Bring
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
• 3+ years of engineering leadership as a team lead, tech lead, or people manager
• Strong background with C#/.NET
• Experience with edge or IoT gateway devices, including TCP socket communication and offline-tolerant architectures
• Deep understanding of modern software architecture, REST APIs, and integration patterns
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows
• Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted development tools in real engineering work, and the ability to coach others on them
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or similar; equivalent experience considered
Nice to Have
Distributed systems, AWS IoT, relational and NoSQL databases, React.js and Next.js, trunk-based development, DevSecOps practices, device management or orchestration platforms.
