Job description
Role
Samaya AI is building the first Expert Intelligence platform for Financial Services. Our users create teams of AI agents that supercharge financial research, discovery and analysis. We’re a high-growth, world-class AI team seeing incredible product traction with leading financial institutions.
This is a rare opportunity for an ambitious seller ready to step fully into enterprise ownership. You'll join our GTM team early, when there's no playbook yet — and that's the point. You'll build it: defining how we sell, identifying new opportunities, and closing high-value deals with the most sophisticated financial institutions in the world. For the first 18 months the mandate is clear — drive revenue and build the business — with real room to grow from there. You'll thrive here if you're energized by ambiguity and want to own outcomes, not inherit process.
Responsibilities
Own the full sales cycle - lead end-to-end, from lead generation and pipeline build through demo, negotiation, and close
Build the playbook - define how we sell into financial institutions, codifying what works as you go rather than inheriting a process
Sell to senior buyers - engage and influence decision-makers from portfolio managers to C-suite, holding your own as the technical voice in the room
Run high-impact demos - demonstrate Samaya's capabilities credibly to technical and commercial audiences
Expand accounts - strengthen and grow relationships with existing accounts alongside landing new logos
Partner cross-functionally - work closely with Product and AI teams to deliver outstanding customer outcomes
Bring market insight - feed customer needs, competitive positioning, and industry trends back to sharpen GTM strategy and the product roadmap
Experience
Required
Financial services background - you've worked in or sold to hedge funds, banks, or asset managers, and understand their world and pain points firsthand
Enterprise sales track record - 5+ years in B2B software sales carrying enterprise or large mid-market deals, ready to own the enterprise motion end to end
Genuine AI enthusiasm - you actively use AI in your work and life and are energized to sell at the frontier, not just comfortable with it
Gravitas to sell senior - consultative, credible, and able to hold your own as the technical voice in the room
Consistent overperformance - a history of exceeding targets and contributing to a winning, high-performance culture
Builder's instinct - takes full ownership, moves fast, and is energized rather than thrown by things changing quickly
Clear communication - articulates complex ideas simply and compellingly in demos, pitches, and writing
Data-driven - uses data and market insight to guide strategy and manage pipeline
Preferred
High-growth startup experience - you've sold at an early or scaling startup and know how to operate without a safety net
AI-native or technical product exposure - experience selling AI, data, analytics, or similarly technical products to enterprise buyers
Stepping up into enterprise - a strong mid-market or commercial seller leveling into enterprise is welcome, provided the finance buyer knowledge and ambition are there
Compensation
On Target Earnings (OTE): $280,000-$360,000 range (50/50 split - base/variable).
Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
In addition to the base salary, you'll receive a generous commission plan with unlimited earning potential. Equity may also be considered as part of the overall compensation package.

Our Operating Principles
Put Users first. Our users rely on us to do their jobs. We exist because our users trust us to help them achieve their goals. In return for this trust users place in us, we keep their needs as our top priority.
Win as a collective. We are high achievers with a drive to succeed. We build strong bonds over this shared drive. We dive in to help when one of us needs it. We’re kind to each other and boost each other to succeed and grow professionally and personally. We build trust with each other by making commitments and consistently delivering on them. This trust means we genuinely support each other, embracing feedback as a tool for growth and improvement. We win by operating this way, as one team.
Focus and iterate quickly. Bias for action makes us build and learn quickly. Iterating fast requires clarity on what outcomes we are targeting and why. Prioritizing the important things, taking full ownership and initiative, making fast initial progress, and rapid iterations lead to the best outcomes.
Innovate Relentlessly. We pursue novel insights, challenging the status quo and reimagining how things are done. We aren’t attached to the past when improving our product and how we work in the future. We actively invest time in innovation, thinking “outside the box” to consistently raise our standards.
Prioritize Outcomes over Egos . We are committed not to a person, an idea, or an opinion but to continuously making progress to our goals. Sometimes, our goals are ambiguous; in those moments, we iterate, learn, and move on to the next inquiry. We ask the tough questions with kindness, dropping our egos in our pursuit of evidence. For our business goals, we learn from our users. For our scientific goals, our understanding is built through rigorous experimentation, research, and observation. For our personal goals, we embrace candid feedback and collaborative learning to guide our progress.
