Join us in shaping a future where exceptional autism care is within reach for all. 💡💙 📢 About the Role 📍 Location: Remote — United States 💼 Department: Finance 🤝 Reports to: Chief Financial Officer ⏳ Job Type: Full-Time 💰 Compensation: Range of $90,000 - $112,000 annually 🕜 Working Hours: Flexible within US time zones. Because this role partners closely with our Denmark-based leadership, some morning overlap with European hours matters most—Eastern Time works seamlessly, and Pacific or other time zones work well for those able to start their day a bit earlier. 🧩 Why This Role Matters As Hi Rasmus grows, we need accounting operations that give our team reliable financial information and make billing straightforward for our customers. We’re looking for someone who can take ownership of the accounting work behind those experiences, from recording transactions in the right periods to delivering a well-supported monthly close. You’ll help strengthen our accounting foundation and give our CFO more capacity to support the business. You’ll also have room to improve the processes and systems you work with, making the work more dependable as we grow. Your Role You’ll be a hands-on accounting partner to our CFO, owning day-to-day accounting and the close for your assigned entities. You’ll prepare entries, reconcile accounts, manage subscription billing and revenue accounting, and maintain records that make tax and audit work easier. You’ll work closely with Sales, Customer Success, budget owners, and external advisors. This is an individual-contributor role with meaningful ownership and regular CFO partnership on accounting policies, material judgments, and priorities. 📌What You’ll Own Accurate Books and a Reliable Close Keep the books for your assigned entities accurate, complete, and well supported so the CFO and business leaders have dependable financial information when they need it. • Run the monthly close for assigned entities and complete quarterly and year-end accounting work, preparing a clear close package for CFO review. • Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and other assigned accounts, with appropriate documentation and approvals. • Reconcile bank accounts and assigned assets and liabilities, investigate unusual balances, and follow reconciling items through to resolution. Accurate Revenue and a Clear Billing Experience Ensure customers are billed correctly, payments are applied accurately, and subscription revenue is recorded in the right accounting periods. Help customers and colleagues get clear answers to billing questions. • Manage invoicing and payment application in Stripe, including manual payments, credits, refunds, and approved contract changes. • Record and reconcile subscription revenue and deferred revenue under approved accounting policies. Review automated postings for accuracy, completeness, and correct timing. • Reconcile billing records, cash receipts, and the general ledger. Monitor receivables and flag overdue balances through the agreed collections process. • Resolve routine customer billing questions and work with Sales and Customer Success when an issue needs contract clarification or customer context. Accounting Records Ready for Tax and Audit Maintain complete, organized accounting records and supporting schedules so tax and audit work can be completed accurately and on time with the CFO and external advisors. • Prepare sales-tax reports, tax schedules, and supporting documentation, coordinating assigned filings with the CFO and external advisors. • Respond to assigned auditor requests with accurate schedules and supporting evidence, following up on outstanding accounting items. Clear Expense Records and Dependable Accounting Processes Keep expense records accurate and spending variances visible to the people responsible for acting on them. Build documented accounting processes and review controls that remain dependable as the business grows. • Review expense coding, documentation, and approvals; record expenses in the correct periods and follow up on missing or inconsistent information. • Compare agreed expense categories with budget, investigate significant variances with budget owners, and escalate through agreed thresholds. Budget owners retain spending decisions. • Document accounting workflows, strengthen review controls, and improve reconciliations and system integrations. • Explore approved automation and AI tools that make the work more efficient while preserving human judgment and review of financial outputs. How We’ll Work Together 🤝 You’ll have clear ownership and close partners across Hi Rasmus. You’ll have the authority to: • Organize the close calendar and accounting work for assigned entities within agreed deadlines. • Prepare and post routine accounting entries and resolve standard billing issues within approved policies and review thresholds. • Investigate discrepancies, request supporting documentation, and recommend process improvements. The CFO retains final authority for accounting policies, material judgments, financial reporting, and payment approvals. Changes to customer terms and spending commitments follow the relevant approval process. You’ll partner closely with: • The CFO to agree on priorities and close deadlines, review significant accounting issues, and make decisions requiring financial authority. • Sales and Customer Success to verify contract terms, resolve billing questions, and address recurring customer issues. • Budget owners to explain expense variances and agree on follow-up actions, escalating to the CFO when needed. • External tax advisors and auditors to provide accurate schedules and documentation. The CFO and advisors determine final tax positions and filing responsibilities. Who You Are 💛 You bring sound accounting judgment and create trust through reliable work and clear communication. You care about understanding what sits behind a balance and helping others understand the numbers, too. You: • Investigate discrepancies and understand their cause before deciding on a correction. • Raise issues early, explain their impact, and bring practical recommendations. • Balance independent ownership with knowing when a decision needs review. • Communicate clearly with non-finance colleagues and treat customer billing questions with patience and care. • Look for ways to improve recurring processes and use technology thoughtfully. 🎯What You Bring We care about your experience, judgment, and how you approach the work. These are the capabilities that will help you succeed here. You Likely Bring • Demonstrated hands-on accounting experience, including ownership of recurring month-end closes and balance-sheet reconciliations. • Hands-on SaaS or subscription accounting experience, including revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and billing-to-ledger reconciliations. • Working knowledge of US GAAP and the ability to apply approved accounting policies to day-to-day transactions. • Experience preparing journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules, and identifying and resolving accounting discrepancies. • Clear communication with customers and non-finance colleagues, and experience managing accounting priorities and collaborating effectively in a remote team. Helpful but Not Required • Experience with Stripe, QuickBooks, or comparable billing and accounting systems. • Experience supporting external audits, preparing sales-tax schedules, or improving accounting controls and workflows. • Experience working across multiple entities or currencies. If you see yourself in much of this role but not every single line, we hope you’ll still consider applying. We’d love to hear how your experience could contribute. 💙 Perks & Benefits You'll Love 🏥 Health & Wellness: • 100% covered health, dental, and vision premium for employee-only standard plan (Family can join too, with a variable cost) • Employer Sponsored Short-Term Disability Coverage • Employer Sponsored Life Insurance • Optional group benefits: AD&D, long-term disability • Participation in a 401k plan through Empower 🎓 Growth & Development: • Professional development opportunities • Room for growth within the company 🏖️ Time Off to Recharge: • Paid Time Off: 10 vacation days, 5 sick days, 7 paid holidays + 3 floating holidays for ultimate flexibility 🐣 Parental Leave: • All Parents/Caregivers: 6 weeks fully paid • Birthing Parents: Up to 14 weeks paid 🏡 Work Style That Works for You: • Fully remote and flexible work environment—work from wherever feels right! • Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the Autism healthcare space 📩 How to Apply Use our applicant tracking system Pinpoint to answer the role-specific application questions.
