Job description

About HubSync HubSync is the AI-powered, end-to-end workflow automation platform built for CPA firms and accounting practices, unifying client portals, engagement management, document collection, e-signature, workpapers, and payments into a single system of record. Backed by a growth investment from Thoma Bravo and recognized on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 for consecutive years, HubSync is scaling rapidly and investing in the client relationships that will fuel its next stage of growth. Position Summary HubSync is hiring a Client Account Manager to own the relationships that keep our most important client firms successful, engaged, and growing. This person will operate as the lead on a portfolio of critical accounts: learning how each firm actually works, resolving issues before they escalate, and finding the places where HubSync can do more. They will be accountable for retention and expansion across that portfolio, partnering with Sales, Implementation, Support, and Product so every client sees measurable value from the platform. This is a quota-carrying, individual-contributor role reporting directly into the SVP of Sales. Key Responsibilities Account Ownership & Relationship Management • Operate as the lead relationship owner for a portfolio of HubSync’s most critical accounts, from implementation handoff through renewal and beyond (8-12 accounts). • Build trusted working relationships with partners, firm administrators, and operational leaders inside each account; earn standing as an advisor rather than a vendor contact. • Serve as the first point of contact for client questions, issues, and escalations; drive each to resolution with clear ownership and timely follow-through. • Lead regular business reviews that connect platform usage to the outcomes each firm cares about: cycle time, staff capacity, and client experience. • Maintain accurate account records, activity history, and health indicators in our CRM so the business has a reliable view of every relationship. Retention, Growth & Commercial Execution • Own renewal and expansion outcomes across the assigned portfolio; forecast both with accuracy and discipline. • Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing accounts: additional modules, added seats, and adjacent workflows. • Negotiate renewals, contract amendments, and expansion agreements that protect HubSync’s economics, working closely with Legal and Finance on terms and approvals. • Monitor account health signals and act early on risk; build and execute save plans wherever churn indicators appear. • Partner with the sales team on quota attainment, supporting new business efforts with references, case studies, and warm introductions. Delivery & Cross-Functional Collaboration • Facilitate the timely and successful delivery of solutions according to each client’s needs and objectives. • Work closely with Implementation, Support, and Product to turn client feedback into prioritized improvements. • Represent the voice of the client internally; escalate recurring themes so they are solved at the product level rather than one account at a time. • Contribute to onboarding materials, playbooks, and account management standards as the function scales. Qualifications • 3+ years in account management, customer success, or client-facing sales within B2B SaaS, ideally serving the accounting, tax, or professional services industry. • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Economics, Marketing, or a related field. • Demonstrated ownership of retention, renewal, or expansion targets across a defined book of business. • Proven ability to negotiate contracts and agreements that balance the client relationship against commercial outcomes. • Excellent executive presence, listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities, supported by strong verbal and written communication skills. • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present, and influence key stakeholders at every level of an organization, including executive and C-level. • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time while maintaining sharp attention to detail. • Experience with Hubspot, and other CRM tools. • Experience working with, or selling into, private equity-backed portfolio companies is a plus. What Success Looks Like • A consistent, growing contribution of expansion revenue sourced from existing accounts each quarter. • Clients who describe HubSync as a partner in their practice rather than a piece of software they purchased. • Client issues resolved quickly and visibly, with recurring themes routed into the product roadmap instead of solved one account at a time. • A documented, repeatable account management motion that new team members can adopt as the function grows. Why HubSync Join a fast-growing, AI-powered SaaS company backed by Thoma Bravo, recognized among North America’s fastest-growing technology companies, and trusted by leading CPA firms to modernize their tax and accounting workflows. This is an opportunity to own the relationships at the center of the business and have a direct, visible impact on retention and growth. We’re an equal opportunity employer. All applicants will be considered for employment without attention to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran or disability status.
