Job description

About the Company ARC is a rapid-growth enterprise technology company. Since launching in late 2021 to serve frontline workers, ARC has become a category-defining device management solution and trusted partner to some of the world’s largest enterprises, including Walmart, lululemon, Gap, ShipBob, and several global leaders in supply chain and logistics. ARC was born out of ChargeItSpot, the consumer-facing tech company that pioneered phone charging solutions starting in 2012. Through smart lockers integrated with proprietary software, ARC stores, secures, and charges the company-owned handheld devices (made by Zebra, Honeywell, and others) that frontline workers rely on every day for package scanning, inventory lookup, task management, mobile point of sale, and more. Clients turn to ARC because managing and maintaining enterprise mobile devices post-purchase is harder than it looks. Devices go missing (~25% annually), stop working, or run out of power, costing payroll time, money, and productivity. ARC virtually eliminates these issues, ensuring devices are functional, charged, and accounted for – while improving productivity and experience for teams on the ground. Market demand for ARC has been overwhelming. Device management has been a massive unmet need for decades, and ARC – backed by a decade of technical expertise and a homegrown patent portfolio – is uniquely positioned to solve it. ARC’s Mission Minimize Device Waste. Maximize Worker Productivity. Make Life Easier. ARC’s Vision Be the unrivaled leader in physical device management. With more than 25,000 ARC units expected to be deployed by 2030, ARC will simplify life for more than 1 million frontline workers every day. Want to learn more? About the Team At ARC, we surround ourselves with independent thinkers who are detail-oriented and customer-obsessed. Our clients have routinely called us “the most talented team they’ve ever worked with.” We value determination, resourcefulness, imagination, and follow-through. We want people who are ready to get things done. Our focus is fierce, but it’s not all hard work. We take time to get to know each other through a daily game of Jeopardy, meals together, and nights out for karaoke. We operate a hybrid work model, with most team members working in the office a couple of days a week, and the rest remotely. Our Core Values • We do what we say we will do. • Details matter. A lot. • Bias for action. • Customer obsession. • Diversity and authenticity. • No ego. Only outcome. • Think big. Requirements About the Role ARC by ChargeItSpot is seeking a Manager, FP&A to build the company’s financial planning & analysis capability during a period of rapid expansion following the close of a growth equity financing. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will turn financial and operating data into forward-looking insight that helps ARC make better decisions and drive long-term growth in enterprise value. This is the first dedicated FP&A hire at ARC. You will partner directly with the CFO to build, rather than inherit, a best-in-class FP&A function as ARC scales. The role is hands-on, and will work closely with the Controller and functional leaders across the company – with regular visibility to our Board and lead sponsor. Responsibilities • Own ARC’s annual budget and planning process, in-year reforecasting, the near-term operating forecast, rolling cash forecasting, and the long-range plan. • Partner with the CEO, CFO, and functional leaders to evaluate strategic growth opportunities and investments, and support transactions and diligence, including financial modeling and scenario analysis. • Prepare financial analyses and materials for executive leadership, board discussions, investors, lenders, and other external stakeholders. • Own the monthly reporting package – KPIs, variance analysis, the narrative driving the numbers, and actionable follow-up with functional leaders – partnering closely with accounting so reporting, forecasts, and financials tie to reliable data. • Identify, develop, measure and report key operational and financial performance indicators that provide an early view of performance, risk, and opportunity. • Build and maintain integrated financial models, including deals, units, revenue, contribution margin, gross margin, headcount, operating expenses, and cash flow in support of financial projections and scenario planning. • Translate sales pipeline and customer opportunities into probability-weighted revenue, margin, cash, and capacity forecasts. • Strengthen visibility into client, product, unit, and deal economics, including revenue, cost-to-serve, gross margin, contribution margin, working-capital, and capital expenditure impact. • Partner with Sales, Client Success, and Operations on pricing and contract economics, supporting a developing deal desk function. • Improve FP&A systems, reporting, and automation as ARC scales – including sensible use of AI-enabled tools – creating efficient and repeatable processes without sacrificing control. • Operate as a hands-on individual contributor inside a lean finance organization, with the opportunity to build additional FP&A capacity as the business scales. Qualifications • 4-7 years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, strategic finance, or a closely related discipline, including hands-on ownership of budgeting, forecasting and management reporting. • Demonstrated success in a growth equity or private equity backed environment, scaling a high-growth business where the finance function is expected to build, improve, and influence rather than simply report. • Fluency with industry standard recurring revenue metrics, including ARR, MRR, bookings, backlog, retention, churn, and cohort analysis, and the ability to reconcile them to GAAP financial statements. • Exceptional Excel and financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, scenario planning, and analytical skills – along with comfort using AI tools to accelerate analysis and reporting. • Strong understanding of three-statement financial modeling, cash flow, working capital, margin analysis, and business performance drivers. • Experience partnering directly with senior executives and translating complex financial information into clear recommendations and decisions. • Strong business judgment with the ability to challenge assumptions constructively while maintaining trusted relationships across the organization. • Bachelor’s degree Preferred Qualifications • Experience in a technology, hardware, Hardware-as-a-Service, equipment leasing, software, SaaS, or other recurring revenue business serving enterprise customers. • Experience improving FP&A technology, data infrastructure, reporting automation, or AI-enabled finance workflows. • Experience with founder-led, rapidly scaling organizations. • Familiarity with a sponsor-driven reporting cadence, including monthly operating reviews, flash reporting, and quarterly board materials. • Experience with fundraising, investor & lender reporting, board materials, transaction diligence, or strategic finance initiatives. • Experience with ERP, accounting, and business intelligence tools. The Candidate Your integrity and ethical standards are unwavering, and unassailable. You think several steps ahead and are equally comfortable building the model, challenging the assumptions behind it, and explaining what it means to the business. You are intellectually curious, detail-oriented, and decisive. You know when precision matters and when the business needs a timely answer with the best information available. You operate with low ego, strong judgment, and a bias for action, and you care more about getting to the right outcome than being right. Location Hybrid in Philadelphia, or remote possible for the right candidate; location to be discussed. ARC is headquartered in Philadelphia, PA, and the team operates on East Coast US business hours. You must be authorized to work in the United States. Benefits • Stock options • Health, dental and vision insurance • Health Care FSA • 401k plan with matching company contributions • Paid time off • Hybrid or remote environment Why Join Us We’re building something ambitious and doing it with collaboration, conviction, and purpose. The team gels in a way that is special. Our alchemy is rooted in realness, curiosity, appreciation for each other’s differences, celebration for each other’s strengths, and a trust that fosters open feedback when we see an opportunity to do something better. If you have the unique combination of skill and qualities we are looking for, please submit your resume at experiencearc.com . We’d love to hear how you’d like to contribute and be part of the journey. ARC by ChargeItSpot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
