Job description

ABOUT FONIO We grew from $1M to $10M ARR in under 12 months and now serve 11,000+ customers. Fonio is Europe’s market leader for AI phone agents for SMBs - and one of the fastest-growing companies in the world. We already are global, and the US is next. We're building the New York team from day one. We move fast, take ownership, give direct feedback, and skip the politics and pointless meetings. Join one of the world´s fastest-growing companies. YOUR ROLE You own our entire US top of funnel – from first touch to a qualified demo handed to our Account Executives. This is not a dial-and-pray seat with a script someone wrote three years ago. You'll build the sequences, test the channels and figure out what makes a dentist in Ohio or an HVAC owner in Texas pick up the phone and say yes. And if you crush it, you won't be an SDR for long: top performers move into a closing AE role within months, not years. At the moment we are mainly looking for people based in Vienna. WHAT TO EXPECT - Qualify the inbound leads our marketing engine generates every single day – fast - Run multi-channel outbound: phone, email, LinkedIn – and test whatever channel comes next - Build and own sequences: form a hypothesis, test it, measure it, make it better - Book qualified demos for our AEs and own the quality of every handoff - Top-performing SDRs have a real shot at moving into an AE role within months WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR - 1+ years in sales, ideally outbound or telesales; B2B SaaS experience is a plus - Fluent, persuasive English, spoken and written - Competitive to the core: you check the leaderboard, and you want to be at the top of it - High output, high standards: you’d rather make 80 good calls than 30 perfect ones, and you still make them good - Coachable and curious: you test, take feedback, and get better every week - Excited about AI and about selling a product customers actually love - Willing to start with a onboarding in Vienna (at least 1 month) - Based in or willing to relocate to New York City (onsite, office-first) - Authorized to work in the US WHAT WE OFFER - $65k–$75k base + $30k–$35k variable (OTE $95k–$110k) + equity - Fast track to AE – promotion based on performance, not tenure - You’ll learn AI and voice tech faster than anywhere else, with a real path into Customer Success, Solutions or Forward Deployment - Lunch and dinner are on us. Every day. - Need a tool, course or book? It’s yours. No approval loops. - Your setup, your choice: pick the gear you want to work with - A product customers actually love: 4.5 stars on Trustpilot, Google and OMR. It mostly sells itself. - Equipment of your choice HIRING PROCESS 1. 15 min Intro call 2. 30 min Skill interview (incl. a short case study) 3. 20 min Intro with our CCO 4. 20 min Culture Call with our Founders
