Job description

ABOUT NEN CREATIVE Nen Creative partners with tech startups to launch bold ideas into the world, creating the brands and stories that fuel their growth. Since 2022, we've partnered with some of the world's top founders and institutions, including Amazon, Andreessen Horowitz, Cursor, Mercor, Listen Labs, Tech Week, Cartesia, and many more. We're growing quickly and looking for ambitious people who want to help build the company alongside us. ABOUT THE ROLE We're looking for a Senior Designer to create exceptional brand and digital work for some of the most ambitious companies in technology. This is a senior, hands-on design role for someone with exceptional craft, strong conceptual thinking, and the ability to take meaningful ownership of projects from early exploration through final delivery. You'll work across brand identities, websites, campaigns, and launch moments — developing ideas, building visual systems, and pushing the work beyond the obvious. You'll collaborate closely with creative leadership, project managers, strategists, and other designers while owning significant portions of the creative process yourself. You'll also work directly with clients, presenting concepts, explaining creative decisions, responding thoughtfully to feedback, and helping move projects toward strong outcomes. We're looking for someone who wants to do career-defining work, move quickly, push creative boundaries, and help raise the standard of what Nen puts into the world. WHAT YOU'LL DO Design & Craft: Create exceptional work across brand identity, visual systems, websites, campaigns, and launch experiences. Bring a high level of taste, detail, and polish to everything you touch. Concept Development: Develop distinctive creative directions from early exploration through fully realized systems. Push beyond the first idea, challenge conventions, and find solutions that feel ownable and memorable. Project Ownership: Take meaningful ownership of projects and workstreams from concept through delivery. Manage your own work effectively, anticipate what needs to happen next, and make sure details don't fall through the cracks. Client Collaboration: Present work clearly and confidently, articulate the thinking behind creative decisions, respond thoughtfully to feedback, and build trust with founders and senior stakeholders. Creative Collaboration: Work closely with creative leadership, strategists, developers, project managers, and other designers to make the work stronger. Give thoughtful feedback and contribute actively to critiques. Raise the Bar: Help improve the quality of our work, our creative process, and the way we present ourselves as a studio. Bring new references, ideas, techniques, and perspectives into the team. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - 3–7 years of experience as a designer, ideally within a strong branding, design, or creative agency environment. - Exceptional design craft and taste. You have a strong portfolio demonstrating excellent typography, composition, visual systems, identity work, and digital design. - Strong conceptual thinking. You can develop ideas, not just execute layouts, and know how to turn a strong concept into a cohesive visual system. - High ownership and reliability. You do whatever it takes to get important work over the line, stay calm under pressure, and don't need someone chasing you to make things happen. This is not a role for someone looking for a strictly 9–5 mindset. - Strong with clients and presentations. You're comfortable presenting your work, explaining your thinking, receiving feedback, and navigating creative conversations professionally. - Able to move fluidly between thinking and making. You can zoom out to understand the bigger creative idea and zoom all the way into the details required to make the final work exceptional. - Driven to raise the bar. You're ambitious about your craft, curious about what's happening in design and culture, and constantly looking for ways to make the work more distinctive. WHY JOIN NEN CREATIVE - Be part of a small, fast-growing studio trusted by world-class startups and investors - Work directly with top founders shaping the future of tech - Clear growth path as we scale — you’ll help define the design practice itself - Remote-friendly, flexible, and entrepreneurial environment - Healthcare, PTO, 401K
