Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer / Cloud Architect Location: Pleasanton, California Duration: 12 Months with Possible Extension Work Mode: Contract/ Onsite Job Summary • We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer / Cloud Architect with strong experience in Microsoft Azure, AWS, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, automation, and Infrastructure as Code. • The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, monitoring, and supporting enterprise cloud environments. This role will work closely with development, infrastructure, security, and engineering teams to build secure, scalable, highly available, and cost-effective cloud solutions. • The ideal candidate should have strong technical and communication skills, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work independently as well as with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities • Design, architect, and deploy Azure/AWS cloud solutions. • Manage and maintain Azure/AWS cloud infrastructure. • Implement high availability, disaster recovery, and multi-AZ solutions. • Configure cloud monitoring, alerts, alarms, and notifications. • Automate infrastructure deployment and management. • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform. • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes. • Manage code repositories and deployment tools such as GitHub and GitHub Actions. • Support development, QA, staging, and production environments. • Implement blue-green and automated deployment strategies. • Develop and maintain auto-scaling solutions. • Troubleshoot cloud, infrastructure, application, and networking issues. • Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and cost. • Manage Windows and Linux environments. • Support production environments and provide 24×7 production support as required. • Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures. • Work with engineering teams to adopt new cloud technologies. • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to internal teams. • Participate in planned after-hours/weekend deployments when required. Required Skills • 10+ years of overall IT experience. • 5+ years of Azure/AWS cloud experience. • Strong Azure Cloud architecture and administration experience. • Strong experience with Azure cloud automation and deployment. • Experience managing Azure infrastructure, including: • Security • Compliance • Backup • Disaster Recovery • High Availability • Monitoring • Patching • Cloud Governance • Strong experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code. • Experience with cloud automation and CI/CD. • Experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions. • Strong PowerShell, Linux Shell, and Python scripting skills. • Strong Windows and Linux administration experience. • Experience with Multi-AZ, HA, and DR environments. • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Azure Monitor and AWS CloudWatch. • Strong networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, routing, subnetting, load balancing, and firewalls. • Experience with SSL/TLS certificates. • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. • Ability to mentor and guide other engineers. • Azure/AWS DevOps or Solutions Architect certification preferred. Preferred Skills • Azure Solutions Architect experience. • AWS Solutions Architect experience. • Azure landing zones and cloud governance. • Kubernetes and Docker. • Apache Kafka. • Application security testing tools. • SQL Server and Oracle. • Java and .NET application deployment. • Configuration management tools. • Enterprise-scale cloud migrations and implementations. • Experience with large-scale web farm infrastructure. • Experience with geographic redundancy and disaster recovery. • Experience with server virtualization and clustering. • Experience with advanced monitoring and observability tools. Education • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
