Job description

Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis is a leading global communications agency built to navigate the complexities of a hyper-connected world. We represent the icons and innovators shaping culture—from global heritage corporations and high-growth tech startups to the non-profits, creative legends, and visionary founders who define the global discourse. Our expertise spans the full cultural spectrum. We operate at the intersection of entertainment, social impact, corporate reputation, and consumer lifestyle, executing seamlessly across traditional media, social-first outlets, brand partnerships, and influencer ecosystems. Whether we are navigating complex crisis management, elevating advocacy campaigns, or launching global consumer brands, we are storytellers at our core. You may notice our digital presence is purposefully understated. While our clients are global household names, we believe the best work happens when the spotlight stays firmly on those we represent. We fly under the radar by design - preferring to let our campaigns, and our results, speak for themselves. If you're driven, intentional, and ready to do good, we're ready for you! Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis has an opening for a strategic, high-performing Senior Account Executive to join our Consumer Technology team. You’ve been in the trenches for 4–5 years and are ready to move from executing tasks to owning results. You understand that in 2026, a great consumer tech story must live at the intersection of traditional tech reviews, lifestyle placements, and creator-led social feeds. This role is for the "Tech Obsessed." Your browser is a permanent rotation of TechCrunch, WIRED, and Adweek, and you have a point of view on which startups are built to last. We are looking for a Senior Account Executive who can translate hardware and software into human stories, managing a diverse roster of clients spanning gaming, VR, fintech, healthtech, and more. Responsibilities Include: Media Lead: Transition from supporting to leading media outreach. You leverage an established network to secure high-impact features, product reviews, and must-have placements in tech, lifestyle, and consumer publications. Integrated Narrative Execution: Architect and drive 360-degree campaigns that weave together traditional media relations, social media content, and creator/influencer partnerships. Account Stewardship: Own the day-to-day workstreams for a roster of 4–6 clients. You are the glue of the account—ensuring deliverables are met, junior staff is on track, and senior management is briefed. Content Command: Produce sophisticated, client-ready materials including brand messaging frameworks, press releases, product launch kits, and high-conversion media pitches. High-Stakes Activations: Lead the execution of media events, including festivals, press screenings, and influencer activations. You manage everything from invitation strategy and RSVPs to on-site media wrangling and post-event reporting. High EQ: You lead with high EQ and a calibrated ego. You have the confidence to represent the agency in senior-level rooms, but the situational awareness to know when to take a step back to support a colleague or a client’s specific needs. Mentorship in Action: You are a mentor to junior colleagues. You take genuine pride in teaching them the "how" and "why" of PR, from drafting the perfect pitch to managing a complex project tracker. Proactive Innovation: Regularly bring new opportunities to the table—from media meetings and key introductions to out-of-the-box creative ideas that show our value as strategic partners. Who You Are: The Tech-Lifestyle Hybrid: 4–5 years of PR experience with a focus on technology, consumer brands, or high-growth startups. You know how to make complex tech feel like a lifestyle essential. An Integrated Storyteller: You understand the modern landscape and know how to bridge the gap between a Fast Company deep dive and a viral social moment. Strategic & Decisive: You bring new ideas to the table unprompted and have the accountability to own your projects from start to finish. Exceptionally Organized: You are a master of the backend—agendas, recaps, and project trackers are second nature to you. Professional & Accountable: You understand that we are in a people business. How you treat your co-workers, your clients, and the media matters. Driven to Over-Deliver: You take pride in exceeding expectations and have an entrepreneurial spirit that pushes you to make every process and pitch better. Benefits x Perks We go well beyond the benefits that you’re looking for like medical, dental, and vision plans, 401(k) with matching, annual merit-based bonuses, PTO, fertility, FSA for medical, childcare, and commuter expenses. Eligible employees at Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis may access these benefits, along with many additional perks including, a flexible work schedule, Work from Anywhere program, Summer Fridays, Wellness Days, and a 4-week sabbatical or trip to celebrate select anniversaries. We are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sexual orientation, identity and expression, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
