About the Opportunity A leading enterprise organization is seeking a Senior Cloud Architect to help define and scale Azure architecture standards within a highly regulated enterprise environment. This role will play a key part in building secure, scalable, and well-governed cloud foundations that support enterprise modernization initiatives and long-term platform growth. The ideal candidate combines deep Azure technical expertise with strong architectural judgment and enjoys collaborating across engineering, security, infrastructure, governance, and risk teams. You will help translate business objectives and regulatory requirements into practical, enterprise-ready cloud solutions. What You'll Tackle: Design and evolve enterprise Azure cloud architecture standards.Develop secure and scalable Azure landing zone patterns.Define best practices for cloud identity, networking, encryption, and resource organization.Provide architectural guidance to application development and infrastructure teams.Lead cloud modernization, migration, and optimization initiatives.Develop reusable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates and deployment standards.Partner with security, governance, compliance, and risk teams to ensure cloud solutions align with enterprise and regulatory requirements.Promote best practices for automation, governance, scalability, and operational excellence across Azure environments.Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend improvements that strengthen enterprise cloud capabilities.Contribute to cloud architecture standards, design reviews, and long-term platform strategy. QUALIFICATIONS Seven or more years of experience in cloud architecture, platform engineering, or infrastructure engineering.Four or more years of recent hands-on Azure architecture or senior cloud engineering experience.Strong knowledge of Azure networking, identity, governance, and security architecture.Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automated deployment practices.Experience with Azure Policy and enterprise cloud governance.Experience working within regulated enterprise environments, preferably in financial services or similarly regulated industries.Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.Ability to translate compliance, audit, and security requirements into practical cloud architecture solutions. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools.Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.Experience with Azure Key Vault, Hardware Security Modules (HSM), ExpressRoute, or Private Link.Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks such as CIS, ISO 27001, or similar standards.Experience mentoring engineers or establishing enterprise architecture standards.
