Title: VP, Credit Officer Project Finance, Infrastructure & Commodity Finance Office Status: Hybrid New York, NY Base Salary: $122k - $240k + Bonus ABOUT THE ROLE This is a senior Credit Officer opportunity within the Risk Management function of a leading global investment bank, sitting within the Real Assets team with coverage spanning Project Finance (Renewables, Data Centers, Infrastructure) and Trade & Sustainable Commodity Finance. The role carries genuine credit authority providing independent approval or recommendation on complex structured transactions while contributing to credit policy, risk appetite frameworks, and ongoing portfolio oversight. It's an ideal fit for a seasoned project finance and commodity finance credit professional who combines deep sector expertise with strong analytical judgment and a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach to risk management. RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct independent credit assessments of Project Finance transactions including Renewables, Data Centers, and Infrastructure, as well as Trade & Sustainable Commodity Finance facilitiesProvide detailed obligor analysis including historical performance review, key risk factor identification, and approval or recommendation documentation for final credit decisionsValidate Obligor Risk Ratings, Basel 4 parameters (LGDs), and other key financial metricsPerform ongoing monitoring of portfolio credit quality including quarterly portfolio reviews, early detection of deteriorating credits, and active participation in watch list review processesTrack credit and market trends across bank and bond markets relevant to the project finance and commodity finance sectorsAssist the Portfolio Management and Governance team in preparing reporting for senior risk management and regulatorsContribute to the development and refinement of the bank's credit policy guidelines and overall risk appetite frameworkParticipate in setting global risk appetite for financing initiatives and assess new business initiatives including white papers, New Product Committees, and business rule development
