Job description

We’re looking for a product marketer to own Yardstik’s story and how we’re positioned across our markets, products, and technology. We've built a lot worth talking about. You will do ICP and competitive research, messaging, launches, and sales enablement to establish how we talk about it. Why Yardstik Yardstik is growing fast because we built the Human Trust Platform for a market facing real, growing risks. Thousands of companies use it to know who they're hiring and to keep trusting them long after day one. Behind those companies are millions of workers trying to get hired, get paid, and stay safe on the job. When this works, good candidates move faster and the ones who shouldn't be there don't get through. Plenty of fast-growing companies work on things nobody will remember. Plenty of meaningful companies move too slowly to feel like anything is happening. But Yardstik is growing fast and the work has a meaningful impact for real people. That's why we work hard every day. And you can be part of it. We've been a Best Place to Work 6 years running, and first in our category the last 2. This year we added Top Workplaces and the Inc. 5000 to the list. We look for people who are hungry, humble, and smart, and who would rather build something this month than plan something for next year. If you want to do the best work of your career next to people who will match your effort, this is a good place to do it. About The Role We've built a product our customers rave about. This role exists because there's distance between what we've built and how we talk about it. Your job is to close it, and to give our teams what they need to sell what we've made. What you'll do: • Research our buyers, our competitors, and our market, then turn it into positioning we use everywhere • Build the messaging architecture for each industry we serve and each product line we offer • Lead sales enablement: the materials, the training, and the sessions themselves • Own product launches, from packaging and naming through the go-to-market execution • Help create and maintain the sales resources our team needs across our full product line • Represent Yardstik publicly on webinars, at conferences, and with analysts What success looks like: our teams speak about Yardstik clearly and consistently, our win rate against key competitors increases, and the market starts describing us the way we describe ourselves. Who Should Apply You should apply for this role if: • You've done product marketing for 6+ years at B2B software companies and owned it end to end: positioning, messaging, launches, and enablement • You're an excellent writer. Most of this job is thinking clearly and writing it down • You're a confident presenter. You'll be in front of our sales team regularly and on a stage sometimes • You do real research and turn it into something people use, not something that sits in a folder • You've worked in a technical or regulated category, or you can show us you learn one quickly • You take ownership and build things yourself What We Offer Working at Yardstik, you’ll get: • An opportunity to propel your career within a rapidly-growing company • An incredibly supportive team that knows how to celebrate wins • Startup speed with real ownership and impact • Monthly team events and quarterly volunteer opportunities • Access to our downtown Minneapolis office and amenities • Hybrid work environment • Medical, dental, and voluntary benefits • Competitive compensation • Unlimited PTO Equal Employment Opportunity Yardstik is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We’re committed to building a team based on talent, qualifications, and merit, welcoming all applicants without discrimination.
