Job Title: Performance Load Test Architect / Lead Duration: 6+ Months Location: Middletown, PA Work Environment: Remote with occasional travel Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Performance Load Test Architect / Lead to define and lead enterprise performance engineering strategies, load testing initiatives, and performance optimization efforts. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with NeoLoad, enterprise-scale applications, SAP platforms, CRM systems, APIs, middleware, and complex system integrations. The candidate will be responsible for establishing performance testing standards, developing realistic workload models, identifying scalability risks, and ensuring application readiness for production deployment. Key Responsibilities 1. Performance Engineering Strategy • Define enterprise performance engineering strategy, standards, governance, and best practices. • Develop production workload models and establish NFRs, SLAs, SLOs, and performance acceptance criteria. • Lead performance planning across solution confirmation, PI planning, SIT, UAT, go-live, and hypercare. • Review architectures for scalability risks and bottlenecks; guide capacity planning and infrastructure sizing. 2. Performance & Load Testing • Lead performance testing across SAP BRIM, SAP Convergent Mediation, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Datasphere, Dynamics CRM, middleware, REST/SOAP APIs, batch processing, event-driven integrations, web/mobile applications, IVR, and chatbots. • Define workloads for concurrent users, transactions, billing, payments, toll processing, financial operations, and customer service. • Review and approve test plans, scripts, workloads, and schedules; lead load, stress, endurance, spike, scalability, and failover testing. 3. Monitoring & Optimization • Define monitoring strategies across applications, SAP, middleware, databases, infrastructure, and cloud platforms. • Analyze response times, throughput, resource utilization, JVM, database, queue, API, and infrastructure performance. • Lead cross-functional root-cause analysis and recommend application tuning, database optimization, infrastructure scaling, and configuration improvements. • Validate production readiness. 4. NeoLoad & Automation • Lead NeoLoad implementation, administration, and enterprise testing. • Establish reusable scripting frameworks, automation standards, and automated performance regression testing. • Develop performance dashboards and executive reports. 5. Collaboration & Documentation • Present performance status, risks, bottlenecks, and mitigation plans to executive leadership and governance boards. • Maintain technical/functional designs, diagrams, test plans, scripts, impact analyses, lessons learned, and best practices. • Follow organizational standards, policies, procedures, and documentation requirements. Required Qualifications & Experience • 12+ years of overall IT experience. • 8+ years of enterprise performance engineering and load testing experience. • 5+ years of experience leading enterprise performance testing initiatives. • Expert-level hands-on experience with NeoLoad. • Proven experience architecting performance testing solutions for enterprise-scale applications. • Strong experience with SAP BRIM, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Convergent Mediation (CM), SAP Datasphere, CRM platforms, APIs, middleware, and enterprise integrations. • Experience developing production workload models using historical production metrics. • Strong understanding of: • Performance engineering and capacity planning • Scalability architecture and performance optimization • Stress, endurance, spike, and failover testing • API and middleware performance testing • Batch processing optimization • Cloud and hybrid infrastructure performance • Performance monitoring, diagnostics, and root-cause analysis Education & Certifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field is required. • NeoLoad certification is preferred. • Cloud certifications in Azure or AWS are preferred. The candidate will be responsible for establishing performance testing standards, developing realistic workload models, identifying scalability risks, and ensuring application readiness for production deployment.
Performance Engineering Strategy
Define enterprise performance engineering strategy, standards, governance, and best practices.
