ABOUT THE ROLE A financial services firm is seeking an accounting professional to support legal entity accounting, financial reporting, and close activities. The role covers journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and transaction support across regulated entities. This individual will collaborate with accounting, treasury, tax, operations, and other finance teams to maintain accurate records and strengthen controls. The opportunity suits a candidate with two to four years of relevant experience who wants broader exposure to financial services accounting and entity reporting. RESPONSIBILITIES Support legal entity accounting and reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP.Coordinate accounting matters across finance, legal, treasury, and operations teams.Assess transactions and entity changes for accounting implications.Prepare monthly and quarterly close entries across investing, financing, and operating activities.Calculate quarterly waterfalls and coordinate related capital payments.Prepare and review financial statements for regulated financial services entities.Process payments, invoices, and intercompany settlements.Reconcile balance sheet accounts and assess expense accruals.Investigate discrepancies and escalate significant accounting issues.Prepare financial analyses explaining balance sheet and earnings movements.Improve accounting workflows, systems, and controls.Respond to audit requests and support special finance projects.
