Location Lake Mary, FL Employment Type Direct Hire Date Posted Oct 9, 2026 PeerSource is currently recruiting for a Data Engineer on a Direct Hire basis. This position can be based remotely anywhere in the continental US. Summary The Data Engineer will be involved in the overall architecture, engineering, design, development, implementation, and support of the enterprise data management and information exchange used throughout the organization. The position will combine data engineering, software engineering, business understanding and a close collaboration with internal and external customers, to develop new innovative solutions to the most challenging problems. They will assist in influencing and developing innovative and best practices to enhance data storage, optimization and rendering across our portfolio of applications. The position will also influence and execute the design, development, and operations for data pipelines, data marts, operational data stores and data integration required to support data science and advanced analytics. The ideal candidate understands the health information technology industry, clinical data vocabularies, and Azure data pipelines and platforms. Required Skills • 4-5+ years of experience in data engineering solutions (or advanced degree plus experience equivalent). • 3-5+ years’ experience in at least one of the following areas: Data engineering (Data Modeling, Data Pipelines, Data Integration, and ETL Architecture) and/or BI/AI development and design. • 3+ years’ experience in leveraging common data management technologies such as SQL, SSRS, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, MarkLogic (big plus), MongoDB, Cassandra, etc. • Strong relational database SQL and/or NoSQL platforms & skills, including optimization techniques. • Azure cloud experience highly preferred, but other cloud providers would be considered for those strong in NoSQL • Solid understanding and advanced experience using at least one of the following languages: SQL, JSON, Java, Python. • Bachelor’s degree in a highly quantitative field (Computer Science, Operational Research, Statistics, etc.). Additional related data-focused education preferred. • Prior healthcare data/domain experience is highly preferred. No third parties. H1 sponsorship is not available.
