Job description
Why ReachMobi?
At ReachMobi, there are no ceilings. You are the owner and architect of your career path, with no one-size-fits-all model. We are both visionaries and builders, operating without bureaucracy or red tape. Our ethos is simple: have an idea in the morning, ship it by the afternoon, and have data by the evening. No matter your role, you operate as a founder, building, scaling, and continuously growing into what’s next.
As an incubator for app studios, we provide the technology, leadership, and resources needed to turn bold ideas into scalable businesses. We don’t just build apps, we build the companies behind them and the future CEOs who lead them.
What You Do
· Develop Android Launchers & SDKs: Design, develop, and maintain Android launcher applications and SDKs using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, with a focus on performance, scalability, and usability.
· Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with other development teams to integrate the launcher SDK into their apps, ensuring seamless functionality and optimizing for various use cases.
· Innovation & New Feature Development: Lead innovation efforts to develop new features, interactions, and user interfaces that redefine the Android experience. You'll be at the forefront of creating revolutionary features that improve how users interact with their devices.
· Performance & Memory Optimization: Continuously optimize launcher apps and SDKs for memory efficiency and high performance, ensuring smooth user experiences across a wide range of Android devices.
· Mentorship: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers, guiding them in best practices for Android development, particularly in launcher and SDK development.
What You Need
· Android Launcher Expertise: The ideal candidate must have extensive experience working with Android launcher technology, particularly in developing and optimizing launcher apps and SDKs.
· SDK Development & Integration: The candidate will be responsible for creating SDKs that enable apps to integrate launcher functionality seamlessly, while ensuring optimal performance and ease of integration for third-party apps.
· Memory and Performance Optimization: A strong focus on memory usage and performance optimization is crucial. The candidate should have a proven ability to diagnose and resolve performance issues in a scalable and efficient manner.
· Kotlin & Jetpack Compose Expertise: The role demands expert-level proficiency in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. The candidate must be able to create clean, efficient code and modern, user-friendly UIs.
· "Special Forces" Team: As part of a small, elite, development team, the candidate will work on challenging, high-impact projects to rapidly develop and refine the launcher SDK. This team will collaborate with other app teams to ensure a smooth integration and optimized performance of the SDK.
· Android Fundamentals: Strong understanding of Android fundamentals, including the Android Lifecycle and custom launcher design principles.
· User-Centric: Focus on creating high-quality, user-centric mobile experiences.
· UX+: Experience with UI/UX design and hands-on experience in designing user interfaces is a significant plus.
How Will You Be Challenged?
This role offers the thrilling challenge of revolutionizing the Android experience on a global scale. As part of a small, elite development team, you'll tackle complex, high-impact projects—creating cutting-edge features and interfaces that transform how millions of users interact with their devices. You’ll be responsible for designing and optimizing a high-performance SDK, collaborating with other teams to seamlessly integrate it into apps, all while pushing the boundaries of what's possible in memory management and performance. This fast-paced environment will challenge you to innovate and lead, shaping the future of Android development.
Values
At ReachMobi, our core values guide how we work, make decisions, and show up every day. We move fast, take ownership, and focus on delivering results that matter. We rely on data to guide our decisions, challenge ourselves to continuously improve, and stay focused on winning as a team. We operate without drama or ego, treating others with respect and keeping our attention on the work. Together, these values set clear expectations for accountability, collaboration, and performance across the company.
Data Driven: We speak in data and act on what matters. Decisions are grounded in evidence, not assumptions, and we use data to focus on the work that has the greatest impact.
Get Sh*t Done: We move fast, take ownership, and deliver. We focus on action over process and don’t get stuck in unnecessary meetings or red tape. Everyone is empowered to solve problems, follow through, and get the work across the finish line.
Beat the Goat: We challenge the best and keep iterating until we win. We don’t settle for “good enough,” and we don’t wait for permission to make things better. This value reflects a relentless focus on results, the courage to take smart risks, and the discipline to keep pushing forward when things get hard. We take ownership, learn quickly, and adapt until we find the right solution.
No Drama, No Egos, No As*holes: Drama distracts. Ego isolates. We focus on the work. Drama is distracting, and we can’t win when ego gets in the way. We treat others with respect, regardless of title or role, and we don’t let hierarchy define how we collaborate. When we leave drama at the door and put ego aside, we create an environment where teams can focus, trust each other, and win together.
