ABOUT THE ROLE A growing private investment platform is seeking a Fund Accountant to join its expanding finance team. Reporting directly to senior finance leadership, this role will support fund accounting, investor reporting, capital activity, and fund operations across a portfolio of alternative investment vehicles. The ideal candidate will have experience within private equity, venture capital, private credit, or alternative investment funds and be looking to join a lean, entrepreneurial environment that offers broad exposure and long-term growth opportunities. This position provides hands-on involvement in fund operations and direct interaction with finance leadership, external service providers, and investors. RESPONSIBILITIES Support monthly, quarterly, and annual fund close processes.Maintain fund-level accounting records, general ledgers, and supporting schedules.Prepare capital call and distribution calculations.Assist with investor reporting and financial statement preparation.Reconcile investment activity, capital accounts, and fund cash movements.Coordinate with fund administrators, auditors, and tax providers.Track portfolio activity and support investment accounting processes.Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits and regulatory reporting.Assist with operational improvements and process enhancement initiatives.Support ad hoc reporting and analysis requests from management. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.2 3 years of fund accounting experience.Experience within private equity, venture capital, private credit, hedge funds, or alternative investments.Understanding of closed-end fund structures and capital activity.Strong knowledge of fund accounting principles and investor allocations.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Experience working with fund administrators and external auditors.CPA or CPA-track preferred.Experience with fund accounting platforms or investor reporting systems preferred.Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
