From the employer

Why Patients Need You As a Regional Marketing Director on our Myositis Marketing Team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing national and regional strategies that bring our innovative pipeline of a myositis therapy to life. This individual will lead the localization of marketing initiatives that resonate with health systems, specialty infusion pharmacies and patient communities. This is a unique opportunity to drive commercial readiness and market shaping efforts in a high-impact therapeutic area, while collaborating cross-functionally. Dermatomyositis (DM) and polymyositis (PM) are rare, chronic autoimmune diseases that cause muscle inflammation and progressive weakness, making everyday tasks like climbing stairs or lifting arms overhead increasingly difficult. DM also brings distinctive skin manifestations, and both conditions can affect the lungs and swallowing muscles, contributing to serious complications and, for some patients, a shortened lifespan. There are roughly~70,000 patients with DM and PM in the US, yet many go undiagnosed or misdiagnosed for 1-3 years or longer because symptoms overlap with more common conditions and patients are spread across rheumatology, neurology, dermatology and pulmonology. Health system strategies include improving earlier recognition and referral pathways, and better coordination across specialties so patients connect with a clinician experienced in managing myositis and move to proactive, targeted care sooner. This is imperative not only to ensure appropriate care for patients living with DM and PM, but also to help shape the market for a pipeline medicine in late-stage development. The Myositis Regional Marketing Director will work with Key Account Directors, Field Medical Outcomes and Health Information Technology, across a broad, multi-disciplinary group of stakeholders to provide customer insights and patient/account driven solutions that create opportunities for Myositis within Health Systems (i.e., National Accounts, COE’s, Medical Groups), and third-party affiliates. The role may also support other disease states as needed.
