Job description

About Morning Consult: Morning Consult is a global decision intelligence company changing how modern leaders make smarter, faster, better decisions. The company pairs its proprietary high-frequency data with applied artificial intelligence to better inform decisions on what people think and how they will act. This role is available in any of our office locations or can be based remotely. Our award-winning and modern offices are located in Washington, DC, Chicago, IL and NYC. All three offices are accessible by public transportation and in close proximity to great restaurants and shopping. Join us in the office for catered lunch on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays or grab a beverage from the fridge for an impromptu after-work happy hour! The Role Morning Consult is seeking a highly experienced, strategic Senior Enterprise Account Executive to drive complex, high-value enterprise sales and accelerate our growth trajectory. This advanced role is ideal for a sales leader with a proven track record of exceeding quotas in SaaS, data, or market research environments, and who thrives in dynamic, ambiguous situations requiring creative solutions. As a senior member of our SaaS Sales team, you will independently own and drive the full sales cycle for our most strategic opportunities, leveraging your expertise to influence key decision-makers and shape the future of our client relationships. You will also play a critical role in mentoring and developing less experienced team members, contributing to the overall success and culture of the team. Note: This is an evergreen role, meaning we keep it open on a rolling basis as we continuously look for great talent. Due to the volume of applications we receive, we may not be able to respond to everyone individually if there isn't a current opening that fits your background. That said, we encourage you to apply! We review applications regularly and will reach out when a role comes up that's a strong match. What You'll Be Working On: - Lead complex, high-value sales cycles with minimal oversight, including advanced Qualification, Discovery, and deal structuring for enterprise clients. - Develop and execute creative strategies to penetrate new markets and expand existing relationships, often in ambiguous or rapidly evolving environments. - Own top-of-funnel and full-cycle sales activities—from prospecting and outreach to closing—while setting the standard for best practices and innovative approaches. - Deliver compelling, customized platform demonstrations and thought leadership to C-level and executive stakeholders, leveraging deep product and industry knowledge. - Analyze complex client needs and market data to craft tailored solutions and proposals that align with both client objectives and Morning Consult’s strategic goals. - Maintain rigorous pipeline management and forecasting in Salesforce, ensuring data integrity and providing insights to inform business strategy. - Mentor and coach team members, sharing expertise, and fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment. - Contribute to the development of sales methodologies and processes, helping to shape the future of the Business Development team. - Represent Morning Consult externally as a subject matter expert, building relationships with key industry leaders and partners. - Continuously improve through feedback and proactively share actionable insights to drive team and organizational improvement. - Perform other tasks and duties as may be required or assigned from time to time in the Company’s discretion. About You and What You've Done: - 8+ years of enterprise sales experience, with a strong record of closing complex deals in SaaS, data, or market research environments. - BS/BA or equivalent; advanced degree a plus. - Demonstrated ability to independently manage and close high-value, multi-stakeholder sales cycles. - Deep intellectual curiosity and the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights for diverse audiences. - Advanced knowledge of marketing, communications, data, or brand strategy. - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to executive and C-level audiences. - Familiarity with survey research and its methods (highly valued, but not required). - Proven ability to mentor, coach, and elevate team performance. - Experience contributing to the development of sales processes, methodologies, or best practices. - Commitment to continuous learning and fostering a culture of growth and inclusion. Note: We view the above section as a guide, not a checklist. Research shows that underrepresented/marginalized groups are less likely to apply for a job if they feel that they don’t meet 100% of the qualifications. We welcome diverse and non-traditional backgrounds and encourage you to apply even if you don’t satisfy every single bullet on this list! It’s expected that you’ll learn and grow throughout your time at Morning Consult, so if you’re open to building new skills, we’d love to hear from you. The expected salary range for this position is $107,500 – $174,900, with a midpoint of $141,200.
