About the Role
We are partnering with a Tier 1 investment bank on a strategic, multi-year initiative to build its next-generation FX Risk Platform. As a technology solutions provider, our team is delivering a modern, scalable architecture that consolidates global risk management capabilities and systematically decommissions legacy risk applications across the enterprise.
In this role, you will be embedded alongside our client's engineering teams to build new FX Options intraday risk capabilities. You will drive real-time intraday risk computation and reporting for global FX trading operations, taking full ownership of features across the complete delivery lifecycle—from gathering requirements with trading desks to production release.
Location: New York City, NY (hybrid - 3 days/week office attendance)
Ideal Candidate Profile
This position is ideal for a server-side engineer who wants their work to have clear, visible impact—the numbers you compute are the ones the trading desks act on in real time throughout the day. You will thrive here if you enjoy joining an established project, quickly absorbing a complex financial domain, and earning trust through clean, robust engineering

• Real-Time Intraday Risk Engine: Build and optimize real-time intraday risk computation and reporting capabilities for FX Options on the new platform.
• Core Java Engineering: Develop deep within a multi-threaded core Java codebase where high performance, thread safety, and computational correctness are mission-critical.
• Trading Desk Engagement: Collaborate directly with FX trading desks and technical partner systems to gather, refine, and translate functional requirements.
• End-to-End Ownership: Lead features through every phase of delivery, including architecture reviews, design, hands-on development, rigorous testing, and production deployment.
• Legacy Modernization: Support the migration of business capabilities to facilitate the smooth decommissioning of legacy risk applications.
